It automatically opens if you put the hand or any subjects within the sensor area and closes after 5 seconds when it detects the hand or subjects being out of the sensor area. Users can put the rubbish in the bin without touching the lid which is great in minimizing hand-contact of harmful bacteria.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE PRODUCT

Step 1: Take components out of the box 

– A Lid 

– A Garbage basket can be detached inside    

– An Outer cover 

Step 2: Insert the battery

Define the position of a battery compartment under the lid. Swivel the wedge, push the battery in carefully. Insert two (2)  “AA” batteries with the positive and negative poles respectively into the battery compartment. Close battery compartment lid and clock wedge.  

Step 3: Nest the garbage bag inside

Nest the garbage bag into the basket inside. Fold the bag mouth along to the surrounding line of packet mouth. After that, Insert the excess of the bag into the hole on the basket side to keep the bag. Then, put the basket in the bin. 

Step  4: Install bin

Align the lid and outer cover and place the lid on.

Step 5: On/Off Rubbish Bin

 “POWER” button is in front of the auto lid. Hold the button to turn on the sensor. Press and hold  3 seconds to turn off, the LED screen will display “O-F-F”.

Step 6: Open/Close Rubbish bin lid

Put the hand or any subjects within the sensor area. The lid will open immediately. It closes after 5 seconds when the hand or subjects are out of the sensor area. LED screen will start counting down from 5s. If there is any subject within the sensor area, the lid will still open.

Other features 

To keep the bin lid open longer,  (Manual Mode) – Simply press the “POWER” button to open the bin lid and keep it open for a longer time. Press this button again to close the lid and reset to auto mode.

Waterproof IPX3 – The bin lid is waterproof, so it can be placed near the sink or shower. DO NOT immerse the bin lid in water. 

THE SPECIFICATION 

LED screen displays:

To start the device, Press the “POWER” button, the green light will display.

The LED screen will display the number from 1 ~ 3 when the lid opens. The number corresponds to the battery power level. The number “3” is the battery power at its full capacity. The number “1” displays a low battery, so replace it immediately.

The lid will close automatically in 5 seconds, the LED display starts counting down.

When the device is shut down, hold and keep the power button, the blue light appears and “O-F-F” flashes on the LED screen. 

Battery life: With an average of 20 open/close bins/day, (2) “AA” Alkaline batteries last up to 1 year.

NOTES WHEN USING SMART RUBBISH BIN FC-SB701

Insert battery into the correct positive and negative poles position.  

Do not immerse the device in water because of the electronic components inside. The device can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Do not use external force to close the rubbish bin; otherwise it may damage the gear inside. If it is broken, the automatic cover will not operate properly.

Replace exhausted batteries to avoid battery acid leakage. Battery acid can damage other electronic components.

Do not use old batteries combined with new batteries. 

Do not leave the device in sunlight or a humid environment.

Do not use a combination of batteries: alkaline batteries, standard batteries (zinc-carbon), or rechargeable batteries (NiCd, NiMH, etc.).
