SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
-
It is perfectly normal if a strange odor or light smoke appears during the first use.
-
For the clay pot, be extra careful to prevent it from colliding with hard objects or dropping on the floor.
-
Do not immerse the outer casing or electrical components in water during cleaning to avoid electrical leakage or short circuits.
-
Place the cooker at least 10cm away from the wall. Always place it on a flat, dry surface. Do not place it on plastic/nylon tablecloths, cotton cloths, or carpets.
-
If the power plug is damaged, it must be replaced with one provided by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
-
If you encounter any issues, please contact customer service. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
-
Ensure your home’s actual voltage matches the product’s requirements. A grounded 3-prong electrical outlet is required.
-
Do not allow children to operate the product. Keep it out of their reach to prevent accidents.
-
It is strictly forbidden to arbitrarily disassemble, repair, modify, or smash the product.
-
After cooking, unplug the power cord by gripping the plug; do not pull on the cord itself.
-
While cooking, do not stand near the steam vent to avoid burns. Open the lid carefully, using a towel or cloth to protect your hands from the hot steam escaping from the pot.
* Notes on Using the Inner Pot
Because the inner pot is not made of fireproof/refractory material, it cannot withstand sudden temperature changes (thermal shock) from hot to cold or vice versa, and may easily crack or break. Please strictly observe the following:
-
Do not use the inner pot to cook directly over a gas flame or on an electric stove. Only use it inside the provided appliance.
-
Do not add cold water to the inner pot while it is cooking. If you must add water, ensure its temperature does not differ by more than 40°C from the water already in the pot.
-
Do not pour boiling water into a cold inner pot, and do not wash a hot pot with cold water. When cleaning or adding water, keep the temperature difference within 40°C to prevent thermal shock.
-
Do not place a hot inner pot on cold surfaces such as marble or ceramic tiles. Always place it on a wooden board, straw/rattan mat, or a thick dry towel.
-
Do not submerge the pot in water for more than 10 minutes. Because the unglazed outer bottom is porous, it can easily absorb water. To clean stubborn food residue inside the pot, fill the inside with water, soak for 1-2 hours, and then wash.
CLEANING THE FC-SP601
-
Always unplug the appliance when not in use. Allow the cooker to cool down completely before cleaning.
-
Use a neutral detergent and a soft sponge/cloth to clean the inner pot and the lid.
-
Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe the outer casing and the internal heating plate.
-
Do not immerse the main body of the cooker in water. Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces to avoid electrical hazards or damage.
* Usage Notes
-
For perishable foods (like meat or dairy), do not use the preset timer or keep-warm function for extended periods to prevent spoiling.
-
After selecting a function, you can customize the cooking duration by pressing the “Hour” or “Minute” buttons to suit your preference.
-
The maximum amount of rice should not exceed 8 cups; otherwise, it will affect the texture and flavor.
-
When cooking porridge, the amount of rice should not exceed 2 cups to prevent overflowing. You can adjust the water-to-rice ratio as desired.
-
The total volume of food and liquid should not exceed 70% of the pot’s capacity to prevent soups from boiling over.
-
The display timer counts down for all functions except for cooking rice.
